Welcome to our website

We are offering for sale our:

  • 2004 Carriage Royals International Fifth Wheel recreational vehicle, and

  • 1999 Volvo Heavy Duty Tow vehicle.

2004 Royals International

Both have served us well for the short time we've had the opportunity to use them.  We expect that they will serve their next family well, too.

Information about them

The Royals International fifth wheel is a luxury model RV built by the premiere manufacturer, Carriage.  It is the top of their line of fifth wheel RV's.

Whereas many other RV's are built on small chassis's, assembled with imitation wood panels and equipped with flimsy RV plumbing fixtures, the Royals International presents a different picture.  As soon as anyone looks at the Royals International, they will notice the solid foundation on which the RV is built, the beautiful wood furniture that graces the interior and the solid residential fixtures that exude quality and thoughtful construction.

As with anything built to exceed minimum industry standards, the Royals International is substantial and requires a tow vehicle designed to do the job.  It's a job that far exceeds the towing limits established by the Big Three pickup manufacturers.

Many RV'ers have answered that need with Medium Duty Tow Vehicles.  They provide a stronger chassis than the traditional Light duty pickup, but they're still plagued by underpowered drive trains, smaller braking systems and often a lack of true "Jake" brakes to handle the load on serious terrain.

Over the past few years, a solution to the dilemma was found with vehicles such as the Volvo we have for sale.  It provides true big diesel performance, braking designed to handle significantly larger loads and the confidence that every component was designed for a long life.

We found that, since mating the Royals International with the Volvo, the challenges presented by the tall mountain ranges of our nation's West no longer test our confidence.  It's a dream setup.

We can also confirm that the towing economy at least equaled, and usually far exceeded, the towing mileage we experienced with a diesel Ford pickup.  In addition, the driving performance, comfort, stability and braking were always far superior.  Again, it was a dream.

The fifth wheel RV and tow vehicle we have for sale also meets, and often exceeds, the traveling performance offered by some of the largest and expensive diesel motorhomes on the market.  The diesel engine in the Volvo offers the horsepower and torque that exceeds the power offered in many diesel pusher Type A RV's of much higher price.  Plus, it provides the added benefit of maintaining the living arrangements that many prefer in a fifth wheel RV.

Finally, and this can be a big benefit, the Volvo is not a commercial truck.  It's a registered motorhome, so plating, licensing and operating on the roadways is simple.  It complies with the laws governing motorhomes in the two states where we've lived since we bought it, California and Texas.  It's been registered that way from the start, so your licensing should be no different than if you were pulling any other fifth wheel RV.

Of course, we don't want to be responsible for giving you legal advice.  You may want to check your own state's requirements.  However, our experience and knowledge, along with many others, has been that the licensing requirement is governed by the weight of the trailer, and not the tow vehicle.  Remember it's been approved as, and is plated as, a motorhome ever since we've owned it.

 Can we see them?

 Absolutely!

You will find pictures of our Royals International and Volvo on their respective pages.  We have also provided specification information for each vehicle.

Please take your time to look them over.  The links to each page will be found at the top left of this page.

After you've reviewed each page, feel free to contact us at the email we've provided above.  We'll contact you as soon as we receive your email.

We'll also be happy to show them to you, in person.  They're both located in Western Nevada, near the State Capitol of Carson City.  It's about 40 miles south of I-80 as it passes through Reno, Nevada, off US395.

 How much are they?

First, we must make it very clear that we are offering the Royals International and Volvo for sale as a set.  We are not selling them separately and we're sorry to have to say that we won't be considering any trades.

So, the price we've listed below is the total price for both vehicles.  They are also being sold AS IS/WHERE IS.  You would be responsible for any taxes, DMV/transfer fees or other miscellaneous fees incidental to the sale.

We anticipate that the value in this offer can be seen, so we strongly encourage you to review our Royals International and Volvo pages and then to contact us.  We will look forward to hearing from you!

 Can you sweeten the deal?

Well . . . okay.  Upon successful completion of the sale to you of the Royals International and Volvo at the price listed above, we will give you, for FREE, an RV tug called the "Loadmaster."  It's the RV50 model made by "The Fab Shop" in McPherson, Kansas.

Click here for "The Fab Shop's" page showing the RV50 Loadmaster.

This link will take you to the pricing page for the RV50 Loadmaster.

 Loadmaster RV Tug

It's used to move a fifth wheel RV without the use of the tow vehicle.  For example, you may have a place where you park your RV at home that's not easily entered.  Rather than trying to maneuver the RV from the confines of your truck, all you do is unhook the RV and then use the "Loadmaster" to move it exactly where you want it.  It's a very handy item to have.

As you might imagine, it's a substantial machine.  It's built to handle the weight of a fifth wheel RV like the Royals International.

It's powered by two large batteries and it has a second battery on-board to power the brake control integral to the mover.  Together with the two on-board battery chargers installed to keep the batteries topped-off, the "Loadmaster" will be ready to help you move the RV exactly where you want it parked.

As you saw on the above Fab Shop links, the "RV50 Loadmaster" is not inexpensive.  We paid well over $5000 for it.  That's why you don't see them in every RV'ers garage.  However, it's FREE to you with your completed purchase of our Royals International and Volvo truck at the price listed above.

As with the Royals International and Volvo, our RV50 Loadmaster is used, but only mildly used, so we have to offer it AS IS/WHERE IS.

Thank you!
